Job Description:

This role involves carrying out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner, with proper documentation in line with Health and Safety and Quality procedures.

The position requires working according to a planned schedule of service and maintenance at our client’s premises.

Responsibilities include monitoring van stock, inspecting and ensuring the safety of trucks, accurately completing job sheets and paperwork, and maintaining equipment and tools.

Candidates should have knowledge in at least one of the following areas: mechanical engineering or electrical engineering, and be willing to undergo further training.

The ideal candidate will work independently and as part of a team, possess good communication skills, and work efficiently within deadlines.

Essential requirements include holding a full UK driving license, proficiency in fault finding and repair, GCSEs in English and maths, and experience with Health & Safety standards in workshop practice.

Other qualities include being organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and having good communication and negotiation skills. Flexibility, motivation, resilience, and a positive attitude are also important.

Experience in forklift truck service is preferred but not essential.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Company Vehicle:

A company van and fuel card are provided, with private use permitted (subject to tax regulations).

Holidays:

25 days holiday per year.
