SALARY: £40 – 45k+ company car and other benefits

Job Purpose

To work as part of a small, professional Field Service Team providing service, support, and maintenance to our Customers throughout the UK and Ireland.

Job Overview

  1. Provide repair and maintenance services to Customers in-house and on-site.
  2. Complete all relevant documentation related to robot/equipment performance and Field Service calls.
  3. Work with Technical Manager to promote services portfolio to customers.
  4. Complete processes for stock maintenance and visibility.
  5. Integrate and collaborate with the existing Service and Applications Team.
  6. Maintain 2-way communication with Management regularly.
  7. Reporting as required.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Provide repair services in-house or on-site, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and basic programming of robots on scheduled, emergency, or 24/7 basis.
  2. Diagnose, repair, and maintain 4- and 6-axis robot systems and controllers.
  3. Respond to customer service issues via phone or electronic communication.
  4. Document robot and equipment performance for troubleshooting, repair, and restart procedures.
  5. Complete detailed Field Service reports, document interventions in CRM, and handle related admin tasks.
  6. Coordinate responsibilities and schedules with team members and Technical Manager.
  7. Communicate regularly with customers to meet expectations.
  8. Liaise with France department for warranty parts returns.
  9. Maintain stock visibility, ensure admin is completed, and update IT systems promptly.
  10. Learn robot programming language to provide basic support and instruction.
  11. Participate in the 24/7 on-call rota, responding to call-outs outside standard hours if needed.
  12. Support the Training Manager in delivering maintenance/user training when required.

Skills & Qualifications

  1. Higher Level Engineering qualification or equivalent preferred; proven experience considered.
  2. Minimum 3 years automation or technical service experience.
  3. Electrical/electronic and mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, repair, and refurbishment experience.
  4. Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and technical documents.
  5. Knowledge of mechanical engineering.
  6. Experience with SAP is advantageous.
  7. Strong communication skills at all levels.
  8. Full UK driving license.
