Job Purpose
To work as part of a small, professional Field Service Team providing service, support, and maintenance to our Customers throughout the UK and Ireland.
Job Overview
- Provide repair and maintenance services to Customers in-house and on-site.
- Complete all relevant documentation related to robot/equipment performance and Field Service calls.
- Work with Technical Manager to promote services portfolio to customers.
- Complete processes for stock maintenance and visibility.
- Integrate and collaborate with the existing Service and Applications Team.
- Maintain 2-way communication with Management regularly.
- Reporting as required.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide repair services in-house or on-site, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and basic programming of robots on scheduled, emergency, or 24/7 basis.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain 4- and 6-axis robot systems and controllers.
- Respond to customer service issues via phone or electronic communication.
- Document robot and equipment performance for troubleshooting, repair, and restart procedures.
- Complete detailed Field Service reports, document interventions in CRM, and handle related admin tasks.
- Coordinate responsibilities and schedules with team members and Technical Manager.
- Communicate regularly with customers to meet expectations.
- Liaise with France department for warranty parts returns.
- Maintain stock visibility, ensure admin is completed, and update IT systems promptly.
- Learn robot programming language to provide basic support and instruction.
- Participate in the 24/7 on-call rota, responding to call-outs outside standard hours if needed.
- Support the Training Manager in delivering maintenance/user training when required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Higher Level Engineering qualification or equivalent preferred; proven experience considered.
- Minimum 3 years automation or technical service experience.
- Electrical/electronic and mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, repair, and refurbishment experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and technical documents.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering.
- Experience with SAP is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills at all levels.
- Full UK driving license.
