Job summary

PSI Air Compressors and Blowers require an Air Compressor / Compressed Air Service Engineer, with either a mechanical or electrical bias, to join an expanding service team operating out of its busy Crawley based office.

The role involves diagnosing faults on customer equipment, installing and commissioning compressors and maintaining systems, with travel around the region and some overnight stays as required. A positive, hands-on attitude and UK driving license are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in the compressed air industry valued but not essential.
• Experience with high pressure systems or F Gas qualifications desirable.
• Fork-lift, IPAF and trailer licenses handy but not essential.
• Good interpersonal and IT skills.
• Desire to provide a high quality of workmanship and a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Current UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment
• Aluminium & Steel pipework installations
• Undertake planned and preventative maintenance on compressors and a range of ancillary equipment and compressed air systems
• Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repair
• Install and commission compressors and compressed air systems
• Recommend additional works that may assist customers or enhance the company’s performance
• Maintain good professional working relationships with all existing and new customers
• Maintain company vehicle, PPE, testing and other company equipment in accordance with guidelines
