Job description

Field Service Engineer - Medical Equipment

Location: Northern England

Reports To: Service Manager

As a Field Service and Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and servicing of all company products across the Northern region of England. You will provide exceptional after-sales support, ensuring our customers receive the highest standard of service. This role involves regular travel and occasional overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service & Installation: Install, repair, and service all company equipment at customer sites within the Northern region.
  • Customer Support: Deliver outstanding after-sales support, addressing customer queries and resolving technical issues efficiently.
  • Sales Team Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise and support during the sales process.
  • Communication: Liaise effectively with customers and all levels of company personnel, ensuring clear and professional communication.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel throughout the Northern region, with periodic overnight stays as required.


Attributes & Skills

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong customer service and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent IT literacy; able to use, install, and configure software.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Physically capable of performing installation and service duties.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified to HND/HNC or degree level in electronics, engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven ability to adapt to technical situations and troubleshoot effectively.


Physical Requirements

  • Good general health and the physical capability to carry out service and installation duties.
