Field Service Engineer - Maritime / NavCom

Base around Portsmouth with travel - UK and international
Package: around £35,000 + overtime / annual bonus / pension matched to 7.5% / healthcare.

We're looking for a maritime bias field service engineer to work for this global technology provider. They are a systems integrator and network operator, and the field service engineer will be working in the maritime division. The responsibilities include installing, repairing, and commissioning equipment from leading manufacturers.

Maritime / NavCom background is required, but specific manufacturer training will be provided. Vessels will be shore-based, ranging from oil tankers and cruise ships to yachts. The role involves varied tasks, including I&C and maintenance on equipment such as VSAT, GMDSS, and navigational systems, as well as conducting VDR-APT tests.

Technical / educational background: In-depth knowledge of electronic/electrical engineering networks, ideally within the maritime sector. Military technician background is a plus. A flexible attitude to travel is necessary.

The role does not require extensive travel; staying in Portsmouth or the South Coast area is acceptable. However, considerable overtime and international travel are available and fully pre-booked and expensed by the company. The role requires SC clearance, so a 5-year traceable work history in the UK is necessary.
