Job Description:

Based in Portsmouth with travel opportunities across the UK and internationally.

Package: Approximate base salary of £35,000 plus overtime, annual bonus, pension matched to 7.5%, and healthcare benefits.

We are seeking a maritime-biased Field Service Engineer to join a global technology provider specializing in systems integration and network operations. The successful candidate will work within the maritime division, installing, repairing, and commissioning equipment from leading manufacturers.

Experience with maritime or NavCom systems is essential. Specific manufacturer training will be provided. Vessels involved can range from oil tankers and cruise ships to yachts.

The role involves varied responsibilities including installation, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment such as VSAT, GMDSS, navigational systems, and VDR-APT's, alongside I&C tasks.

Technical/Educational Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of electronic/electrical engineering networks, preferably within the maritime sector.
  • Military technician background is advantageous.
  • Flexible attitude towards travel; some roles may involve minimal travel, while others include significant international travel, which is fully pre-booked and expensed.
  • Role requires SC clearance and a 5-year traceable work history in the UK.
