Your new main challenges will consist of:

Metrology Manager

  • Management of the UKAS and Quality Management Systems maintaining conformity and compliance with all relevant standards

  • Audit Management

  • Process development and implementation

  • Change Management

FSE

  • Providing customer visits as assigned by Service Administration

  • Solving problems and repairing all types of MTS equipment on site and in plant

  • Installing and providing maintenance of MTS systems

  • Training customers on site

  • Performing rebuilds of MTS equipment

  • Performing Force and displacement calibrations of MTS equipment to UKAS accreditation

  • Preparing visit reports, installation and service reports, travel expense reports and time sheets

  • Independent responsibility for materials (documentation, etc.) necessary to perform customer order in a satisfactory and appropriate manner

  • Supporting Sales and Operations departments

  • Insuring compliance with quality system, health and workplace safety regulations, legal regulations, CE requirements and norms and internal, technical guidelines to prevent health and financial risk

  • Maintaining costs within budget

  • Tracking product modifications and technical changes to MTS equipment.

Your qualifications and qualities that you need to demonstrate to be a successful Field Service Engineer at MTS:

  • Demonstrable calibration and metrology experience

  • Experience in quality management

  • Degree or similar in electrical or mechanical engineering

  • Experience in customer support and field service

  • Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic systems

  • Knowledge and understanding of electro-mechanical systems

  • Excellent English – written and spoken

  • Clean driving license

  • Willingness to travel

  • Flexibility

  • Ability to work independently

  • An excellent team player as you are working together in an interdisciplinary manner
