Job summary

TRS Consulting advertises a Field Service Engineer, Medical Systems role for a biomedical or medical engineer to service ventilators, patient monitors and critical care equipment.

The role offers a basic salary of £38,000 to £44,000 depending on experience, with On Target Earnings of £52,000, a 10% bonus and circa £4,000 overtime. A company car and pension scheme are provided, with excellent career advancement opportunities.

• A competent background in a customer-facing field service engineering capacity gained within any high-value capital equipment environment.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair of ventilators, patient monitors, critical care systems and anaesthesia delivery systems.
• Maintain highest levels of customer service during field visits.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and repairs as required.

The Role

Following planned expansion, the company seeks to recruit a technically focused Biomedical Field Service Engineer, responsible for the planned preventative maintenance, service and repair of their range of technologically innovative patient ventilators, patient monitors, critical care systems and anaesthesia delivery systems, ensuring that the highest levels of customer service are maintained at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

A competent background in a customer-facing field service engineering capacity gained within any high-value capital equipment environment. Applications are encouraged from engineers with a broad range of backgrounds, including:

• Medical, laboratory or pharmaceutical device
• Ex-forces engineers (medical, dental, weapons systems, radar)
• Patient monitoring
• Critical care
• Biomedical engineering
• Ultrasound and medical imaging
• Anesthesia and ventilation systems
• EBME / MTO currently working in a site-based capacity in hospitals
• A wide range of other electronic or electro-mechanical sectors

A qualification in engineering, electronics or a science-based subject to a minimum of ONC level.
