Job Role: Field Service Engineer - Material Handling
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire (accepting applications from surrounding counties)
Salary: GBP30,000-GBP35,000 base (OTE GBP40,000+) - paid door to door + company van with personal use
Hours: 08.30-17:00 / 08.00-16.30 Monday-Friday
Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Interaction Technical have partnered with a small but rapidly expanding materials handling firm based in Northamptonshire on their search for a field service engineer to join their growing team. Our client specialises in the servicing and repair of an array of materials handling equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, telehandlers and road sweepers. The package:
Base salary of between GBP30,000-GBP35,000 with a realistic earning potential of at least GBP40,000
Company van + Fuel Card with personal use!
Overtime available at 1.5X
All Travel Time, Expenses paid door to door from home to/from site
Mobile phone and tablet provided as well as uniform
28 days holiday including bank holidays

The Duties:

  1. Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing and carrying out emergency repairs/breakdowns.
  2. Collaborate with customers surrounding the lifting and handling products.
  3. The ability to work independently within the customer sites and collaborate with colleagues to ensure documentation and the perfect solution is offered.
  4. Actively travelling to sites and carrying out repairs of the equipment and creating solutions.
  5. Working on engines, batteries, pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.

The Requirements:

  1. Previous experience working in the Forklift, Plant, HGV and/or Agricultural industries (essential).
  2. Previous experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential).
  3. Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (essential).
  4. Experience working with engines and batteries (essential).
  5. Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous).
  6. LOLER inspection ticket (advantageous).
  7. Full UK Drivers License.
