What you will be doing

We are seeking a qualified Field Service Engineer to join our UK operations hub. Reporting to the Field Services Area Manager, you will support on-site installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of airport security systems at our client’s sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical support activities including installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and servicing of x-ray and CT-based security systems, often handling complex products and providing guidance to lower-level technicians.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients such as BAA and major UK airports.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through delivering and maintaining top-tier security and detection products and services.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance services on security equipment for regional customers.
  • Support installation, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of complex security systems.
  • Provide training to customer personnel on system operation and maintenance.
  • Assist customers via phone or on-site to resolve operational or technical issues.
  • Conduct site visits to assess needs and educate customers on equipment capabilities.
  • Complete required administrative tasks using Siebel.
Education and Experience

Technical school or military training in electronics engineering technology is preferred. Proven experience in a field service role within relevant industries, with strong knowledge of x-ray, CT technologies, and related products.

Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer interface skills.
  • Knowledge of digital and analog circuitry; Linux knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems, test equipment, high voltage, and X-ray equipment.
  • Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and travel across the UK on short notice.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy weights occasionally.
  • Experience in security, detection systems, or aviation is desirable.

Based in the North of the UK, supporting a global business. Candidates must be UK or EU nationals eligible to work in the UK; relocation is not provided.
