Overview

Astute's Renewables Team is exclusively partnering with a leading business in the UK's transition to electric vehicles. We're looking for a Field Service Engineer to service and maintain a network of EV chargers along with specific EV forecourts. Their power comes from renewable energy sources, so this is a chance to join the green revolution and contribute to a greener world here in the UK.

Responsibilities and duties
  • Reporting to the Area Manager you will: Undertake planned inspection and maintenance according to legal, technical, manufacturer and contractual requirements
  • Perform reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and resolution in a timely manner
  • Carry out site surveys as required
  • Compile accurate and appropriate documentation for both internal and external stakeholders in a precise and timely manner
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, high voltage and safety documents that are suitable for audit
  • Ensure that work output meets technical quality, reliability, cost, and productivity
  • Comply with the company Health & Safety Policy, including carrying out general housekeeping
  • Comply with all aspects of the company's ISO standards: Quality management - ISO 9001 / Environmental - ISO 14001 proactively contributing to the company's continuous improvement programme
  • Participating in an on-call rota if required
  • Travelling throughout your region and perhaps, on the odd occasion, further to provide holiday or sickness cover
Professional qualifications
  • At least a level 2 electrical installation qualification
  • Test and inspection certified, C&G 2391
  • UK driving licence with, ideally, a clean licence
  • Experience servicing and maintaining EV chargers is hugely beneficial
  • Good fault-finding experience/knowledge
Personal skills
  • Enjoys being on the road visiting sites
  • Happy with a reasonable amount of lone working
  • Wants to contribute to the renewable energy industry
