Job description

Field Service Engineer – Large Format Print & Cutting Equipment
Guildford, Surrey
Up to £40,000 Company Car 26 Days Holiday Bank Holidays

Are you a technically skilled Field Service Engineer with experience in large format print and cutting technology?
We're working with a leading supplier in the industry looking to expand their expert engineering team. This is a rare opportunity to join a role where your work is pre-planned and structured — no unexpected callouts or chaotic scheduling.

What You’ll Be Working On:
You’ll be installing, servicing, and maintaining a range of high-end large format digital printers, including EFI Vutek, Canon Colorado, and Mimaki (flatbed and roll-to-roll). But this isn’t just about print — you’ll also be hands-on with a variety of cutting tables, ensuring precision performance across the board.

What Sets You Apart:
You're not just mechanically minded — you're software-savvy too. The ideal candidate will have experience working with software such as Enfocus, Onyx, Caldera, and Fiery. You’ll support clients with not only hardware but also software setup, troubleshooting, and optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, calibration, and maintenance of large format print and cutting equipment at client sites
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to minimise downtime
  • Delivering structured training sessions to customers on both machinery and software
  • Supporting clients with workflow efficiency and software integration
  • Building long-term relationships through excellent service and technical support
  • Logging service activity clearly and consistently

The Ideal Background:

  • Experience in the large format print or finishing industry
  • Confident with a range of RIP and workflow software
  • Comfortable working independently across client sites
  • Technically confident with mechanical, electrical, and software-based tasks
  • Full UK driving licence and happy to travel within the Guildford/surrounding region

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional, well-established business where your week is planned, your expertise is valued, and your development is supported.
