Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting a Field Service Engineer to service and repair healthcare equipment across care homes, hospitals and facilities on the South Coast, with Chichester as the base.

You will perform servicing, maintenance, compliance testing and repairs, focusing on fault finding across patient-handling equipment. A full UK driving licence is required and Enhanced DBS checks may be needed; overtime and on-call payments boost earnings.

Qualifications

• Experience as Field Service Engineer, Service Technician or Maintenance Engineer.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills with basic electrical knowledge.
• Experience with healthcare, mobility, lifting or rehabilitation equipment desirable.
• Organised and methodical approach to maintenance activities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to undergo Enhanced DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair healthcare equipment including hoists, beds, baths, wheelchairs and pressure mattresses.
• Carry out LOLER inspections and testing on lifting and patient-handling equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults at customer sites.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance in line with service agreements.
• Ensure all work complies with quality, health & safety and environmental standards.
• Deliver a professional and customer-focused service across the region.

A growing provider of healthcare equipment servicing and maintenance solutions is looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join its expanding engineering team. Covering the South Coast region, this is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong mechanical and fault-finding skills to work on a range of healthcare and patient-handling equipment across care homes, hospitals and healthcare facilities.

The role offers a mixture of servicing, maintenance, compliance testing and repairs, with additional earning potential through overtime, on-call duties and overnight stays.

The Role

• Service, maintain and repair healthcare equipment including hoists, beds, baths, wheelchairs and pressure mattresses
