Job Overview

As a Field Service Engineer in the National Response Team, you will provide high-quality technical support directly to customers across the UK, focusing on field-based support for inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs, on-site commissioning, servicing, and calibration of customer's inline inspection equipment, including customer training when needed.
  • Upgrade and refurbish equipment on customer sites.
  • Handle customer queries professionally and courteously.
  • Adapt to various environments and comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Work overtime as required and participate in on-call standby rotations.
  • Continuously improve product knowledge through training.
  • Provide technical support via phone and email as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical electrical/electronics skills; minimum HNC or equivalent in electromechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Experience in a field service role, including commissioning, repairs, and customer service.
  • PLC programming knowledge and familiarity with PC hardware are advantageous.
  • Proficient in PC use.
  • Methodical problem-solving skills.
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends.
