Job summary
Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd in Bury St Edmunds is seeking experienced Field Service Engineers to join a long-established, family-run materials handling business covering Norfolk and Suffolk. You will be responsible for the commissioning, maintenance and servicing of forklifts and material handling equipment in the field, ensuring a professional, safe service for customers.
A typical day includes commissioning, maintenance, repairing and replacing parts, requesting parts via PDA, and reporting
Qualifications
- Candidates must hold a Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
- NVQ in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) is required.
- Experience as an FLT Engineer and knowledge of FLT Trucks is essential.
- Strong numeracy and excellent communication skills are expected.
Responsibilities
- Commission, maintain and service equipment and plant machinery in the field.
- Repair, maintain and service forklift trucks; repair or replace faulty parts.
- Request parts via PDA and report to Service Co-ordinator for scheduled work.
- Maintain and develop relationships with customers and follow Service Team procedures.
- Adhere to site Health & Safety requirements.
