Overview
Field Service Engineer – Fire Alarm Systems, Midlands (Field Based). £35,000 – £37,000 + Company Vehicle + Tools + Benefits. Full Time, Permanent. Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on fire alarm and fire safety systems.
- Respond to emergency callouts and breakdowns in line with customer SLAs.
- Diagnose faults, complete repairs, and carry out system modifications.
- Produce accurate service reports and ensure all documentation is completed in line with company procedures.
- Identify non-compliances and additional work requirements, feeding back to management.
- Support other departments with installations when required.
- Deliver excellent customer service, representing the company professionally at all times.
- Always follow Health & Safety guidance, using the correct PPE and equipment.
What We’re Looking For
- FIA Foundation qualification and solid working knowledge of BS5839.
- Previous experience in servicing, fault-finding, and modifying fire alarm systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- IT literacy for report writing and service records.
- Full UK driving licence (company vehicle provided).
- Additional FIA training in advanced or specialist areas.
- Wider experience across fire safety systems.
