Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Electrically qualified) in Ashford. The role covers a local Southeast patch, with servicing, maintenance and repair of vacuum packaging machinery and related equipment at customer sites.

You will be involved in workshop repairs and refurbishments, with ongoing training and progression into a Multi Skilled Engineer role. Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm, on-call rota, with further benefits and company support.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical background required with relevant qualifications.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a field-based role.
• Overtime opportunities available for higher earnings.

Are you from an Electrical background looking for an electro-mechanical field-based repair and maintenance role?

In this role, you will be responsible for covering a local patch, carrying out the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of vacuum packaging machinery and tabletop slicers at customer sites. You will also work in the workshop repairing and refurbishing equipment, while troubleshooting technical issues and providing effective solutions to customers.

This role would suit someone with a Mechanical or Electrical background, perhaps with an HNC, HND, or NVQ, looking for a role in a new, growing company that offers clear progression into a Multi Skilled Engineer role.

The Role:

• Carrying out the servicing, maintenance and repair of a wide range of food production machinery at customer sites
• In the workshop performing repairs and refurbishments
• Ongoing training through shadowing experienced Engineers
• Covering a local patch across the Southeast
• Monday to Friday 7am - 4pm, 1-in-5 on call rota
