Overview

First Military Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Electrical) on behalf of our client. Applications from ex-military personnel are encouraged, but all candidates will be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Test, install, commission, perform preventative maintenance, and fault find on solid state frequency power converters and other electrical, electronic, control, and mechanical equipment.
• This is a home-based role reporting to our UK Service Centre in Birmingham, with most work on customer sites in the UK, Europe, and worldwide. Non-site work includes technical support from home or the UK Service Centre.
• Travel within the UK, Europe, and globally is required.
• Willing to undertake training and obtain necessary qualifications.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to read electrical, electronic, and mechanical schematics and drawings.
• Understanding of electrical and electronic circuit theory.
• Ability to diagnose faults, make repairs, and supervise contractors independently.
• Decision-making skills and ability to communicate effectively with office support.
• Experience with electrical and electronic test equipment, especially oscilloscopes.
• Willingness to work in industrial environments and 'get hands dirty.'
• Computer literacy for report writing, emailing, and data presentation.
• Clean UK driving license.
• Good health and mobility.
• Adherence to health and safety policies and practices.
• Qualified in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Principles.

Location: England

Salary: £39,000 per annum (OTE £50k+) + Car Allowance
