Job summary

Clarke Energy is recruiting a Field Service Engineer for Dundee, Scotland to maintain gas engines and allied equipment. You will perform scheduled servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs, ensuring reliability and cost-effective operations for customers across Scotland.

The role requires travel, a Gas Safe registration, and a strong mechanical/electrical background. The position offers a competitive hourly rate with overtime, on-call rota, and a comprehensive training program at our Liverpool

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a service engineer.
• Gas Safe registration.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Scotland.
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Apprentice-trained engineer.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Respond to out-of-hours callouts and diagnose faults to restore operations.
• Collect and dispatch oil samples and manage parts to reduce waste.
• Maintain van stock and report shortages to the Area Manager.
• Complete service reports and communicate with customers and the Area Manager.
• Mentor apprentices and new team members.
