Job Description

To carry out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner, maintaining documentation of all works in line with Health and Safety and Quality procedures.

The role involves working to a planned schedule of service and maintenance jobs at our client’s premises.

Responsibilities include monitoring van stock, ensuring sufficient supplies for daily maintenance, and inspecting the safety of repaired trucks.

Accurately complete job sheets, timesheets, purchase requisitions, and parts paperwork within required timescales.

Take responsibility for all equipment and tooling, including van, laptop, and tablet, ensuring they are in safe condition for the work undertaken.

Work to strict schedules and deadlines.

Candidate Requirements
  • Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering, with willingness to undertake further training.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
  • Proficient in fault finding and repair.
  • Achieve at least a grade C in English and maths at GCSE.
  • Experience with Health & Safety in workshop practice.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.
  • Organisational skills, resourcefulness, and solution-driven mindset.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads.
  • Clear oral and written communication skills.

Work Conditions
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch.
