About the role:

A hands-on, field-based role to repair our parcel lockers on client sites. Tasks include break-fix, maintenance, software configuration, quality control, and providing technical support and training to employees and subcontractors. You will also be involved in developing new solutions and maintaining technical documentation.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults and malfunctions of parcel locker machines (APMs) on site, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Maintaining and modernising parcel locker machines, including hardware and software upgrades.
  • Diagnosing, reconfiguring, and installing software or firmware for electronic and electromechanical equipment.
  • Processing and reporting on repairs using organisational communication channels.
  • Managing tools and components for parcel locker machines.
  • Handling systems for managing personnel-related matters.
  • Ensuring quality control of work performed by internal employees and subcontractors.
  • Providing technical and substantive support to employees and subcontractors, including international teams.
  • Participating in developing solutions for new parcel locker types.
  • Preparing and updating technical manuals and documentation.

  • Experience in a field service technical engineering role with electrical/mechanical equipment, proficiency with hand and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience in diagnosing, repairing, and software configuration, including firmware updates.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to train others.
  • Efficient task management, quality focus, and meeting deadlines across multiple markets.
  • Experience working with diverse teams, including international subcontractors.
  • Flexibility to travel within the UK and internationally for service and training.
  • Familiarity with parcel locker systems, electromechanical devices, and organisational IT tools.
  • Effective time management and responsible handling of tools and components.

This role requires occasional training and visits to our office in Hemel Hempstead and coverage of the Crawley area.
