Job summary

CV Technical is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service, and maintain CNC woodcutting and woodworking machinery across the UK. You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance and provide on-site technical support to customers.

The role requires reading electrical schematics, fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems, and delivering operator training. A full UK driving licence is essential, with overtime and a company vehicle included.

Qualifications

• Experience on CNC machinery, ideally woodworking or cutting equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Strong fault-finding skills (electrical and mechanical).
• Comfortable working independently in a field-based role.

Responsibilities

Field Service Engineer - CNC Woodworking Machinery (M4 Corridor)

Location: UK Wide / Regional Patch

Salary: £35-40,000 + Door to Door Overtime + Company Vehicle + Phone (OTE £50-55,000)

Shift: Monday - Friday Days

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and breakdown support of CNC woodcutting and woodworking machinery at customer sites across the UK. You will work closely with customers to ensure machinery is operating efficiently while delivering excellent technical support and customer service.

• Installation and commissioning of CNC woodworking machinery
• Fault finding on electrical, mechanical, and control systems

Requirements

• Previous experience working on CNC machinery, ideally woodworking or cutting equipment
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills

• Full UK driving licence
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
