Field Service Engineer Car Park Technology
Salary: £28,000 £35,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week, full-time (overtime may be required but not guaranteed)
Location: Ideally based in the Hull/York area, covering Birmingham to Scotland

The Field Service Engineer Role
The Field Service Engineer role is a varied, hands-on field position ideal for someone who thrives on solving problems, and is comfortable working independently. Youll handle everything from installation and commissioning to on-site repairs and technical supportoften working at height and across multiple locations.
Well provide you with a van, tools, equipment, smartphone, and laptopplus all the training you need to succeed and grow with us.
Field Service Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair our in-field systems, both hardware and software
- Conduct preventative maintenance and implement field modifications
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot technical issues both remotely and onsite
- Maintain accurate service records and complete all admin promptly
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients to ensure a smooth service experience
- Escalate service issues when required and collaborate with internal support teams
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities for new contracts or system upgrades
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards, including working safely at height
What Were Looking For
- Recognised qualification in IT, electronics, or electrical engineering
- Field experience installing, servicing, and repairing equipment (e.g. parking systems, self-service tech, gaming or vending machines)
- Confident troubleshooting electromechanical and electronic systems
- Skilled in basic network/device configuration and computer setups
- Strong customer communication skills with a professional approach
- Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in the parking industry is a bonusbut not essential
Field Service Engineer Working Conditions
- Outdoor and indoor work across car parks, client sites, and workshops
- Occasional overnight travel and extended periods using laptops/devices
- Regular work at height using ladders or towers
