Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: Cheltenham / Swindon / Bristol area

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 (DOE)

Reporting to: Service Contracts Manager

Travel: Regional with occasional overnight stays

Company Overview: A specialist integrator of high-end surveillance and access control systems for secure environments including MoD, prisons, and power stations. With decades of expertise and long-serving engineers, the company provides full lifecycle support on advanced security platforms.

Role Overview: You'll maintain and support complex CCTV, Access Control, and PID systems across sensitive, multi-site environments. Working remotely, you'll join a close-knit engineering team and cover both planned and reactive tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain/repair CCTV, Access Control & PID systems
  2. Support control room systems & multi-site platforms
  3. Deliver planned preventative maintenance
  4. Document all work and close helpdesk tickets promptly
  5. Represent the company professionally onsite
  6. Maintain and report on company vehicle condition

Technical Requirements:

Essential Experience:

  • Enterprise-level CCTV & access control
  • C-Cure, Gallagher, and Synergy systems
  • DVR/NVR, IP networks, RAID
  • On-site diagnostics and repair

Desirable:

  • PID, Galaxy, Cortech, CEM, Milestone, Digifort, Video Matrix

Candidate Profile:

  • Must pass SC & NPPV2 vetting
  • Strong communication & documentation skills
  • Flexible and reliable; able to travel off-patch
  • Comfortable with solo site visits
