Job summary

Rednal Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a nationwide team servicing Battery Chargers and related Battery Packs at commercial and industrial sites across the UK. The role involves visiting sites, installing and commissioning equipment, repairing faulted gear and delivering technical support while promoting a professional company image.

Training will be provided where needed. A UK driving license and eligibility to work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

Electrical fault finding proficiency.
Knowledge of BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regs.
Understanding of SLA, NiCD and Plante batteries.
Experience with Battery chargers, UPS and backup power systems.

Responsibilities

Organise and complete service visits according to manufacturers recommendations.
Position, install and commission equipment at customer sites.
Repair equipment and provide fault diagnosis.
Advise Head Office of sales opportunities identified during duties.
Promote the company and maintain a professional, diplomatic manner.
Adhere to quality standards at all times.
Survey new and existing sites for installation purposes.
Provide technical support to colleagues and customers as required.
