Job Description:

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering solutions provider seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer with expertise in Public Address and Voice Alarm (PAVA) systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support reactive, planned maintenance, and small works projects across the South of England.

The successful candidate will work closely with a team of service engineers and report to the Area Service Manager, providing onsite and remote technical support. A strong background in audio technology, basic electronics, and IT networking is essential.

Role Overview:

Location: Field-based across the South of England

Working Hours: Flexibility required – day, night, and weekend work depending on project needs

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake planned maintenance and reactive servicing of PAVA systems following industry regulations.
  • Diagnose faults, identify non-conformities, and complete detailed site reports.
  • Provide technical assistance to other engineers remotely and onsite.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed consistently.
  • Participate in engineering meetings and technical discussions as required.
  • Maintain clear daily communication and complete all administration accurately and promptly (timesheets, expenses, mileage logs).
  • Participate in audits covering vehicles, tools, and operational processes.
  • Support additional tasks as directed by management.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience with commercial audio systems installation and maintenance.
  • Recognised qualifications in electrical engineering, sound technology, or a strong academic background in maths/science (GCSE/A-Level).
  • IT literacy with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pension: Up to 10% employer contribution.

Annual Leave: 26 days plus bank holidays, with flexibility to buy or sell up to 5 additional days.
