Job description

A well-established (30 years) leading materials handling company based in the York area is looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer with a mechanical bias to join their team. This role operates on a Monday to Friday days shift, with a salary range of £37k - £40k.

The successful Service Engineer will be responsible for:

1. Maintaining manual handling equipment, FLT, Cherry Pickers on customer sites within a 50-mile radius of York
2. Paid door-to-door
3. Utilizing provided service van, tablet, mobile, and PPE
4. Possessing a valid driving license
5. Having training in Thorough Examination inspection (LOLER & PUWER regulations) is beneficial

Additional preferred qualifications include:

• Equipment operator licenses
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar or related mechanical industry

The candidate must be able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
