Field Service Engineer – Injection Moulding Machinery & Automation

Location: Field-based (UK & Ireland)

Salary: £44,960.15 basic + enhanced overtime

Schedule: Includes 1 in 4 weekends on a rota basis

Overview

A leading global manufacturer in the plastics processing machinery sector is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their UK-based service team. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and support of high-end injection moulding machines and associated automation equipment at customer sites across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation and commissioning of injection moulding machines and automation systems
  • On-site start-up and technical support for new equipment
  • Planned preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery
  • Relocation and setup of existing equipment
  • Completion of service reports and associated documentation
  • Adherence to safety and quality standards

Requirements

  • Recognised electrical engineering qualification (essential)
  • Background in plastic injection moulding machinery or similar capital equipment
  • Comfortable using laptops and software tools (Microsoft Office etc.)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Methodical, reliable, and customer-focused approach
  • UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively
