Field Service Engineer- Electrical Bias
Location: Wellington, Somerset

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic company known for its advanced solutions and exceptional customer service. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for full plant installations and providing ongoing support and maintenance, ensuring that high standards are achieved and maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Perform full plant installations and commissioning, focusing on equipment such as balers, compactors, screw compactors, screw presses, separators, shredders, conveyors, and digestion systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and project management teams to interpret design specifications and technical drawings.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers on the installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and regulations, and promote a safe working environment at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of service tasks performed and ensure all documentation is completed promptly.
  • Regularly travel to client sites nationwide, utilising company-provided vehicles and tools.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience working with industrial equipment installations, specifically heavy plant machinery
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively.
  • Relevant engineering qualification or certification is preferred, but practical experience is highly valued.

  • Circa £35,000 - £40,000 Per Annum (dependent on experience)
