Job summary

Linde Material Handling is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team covering the Birmingham/Walsall area. You will service a range of forklift trucks and related equipment at customer sites, diagnose faults, and perform preventative maintenance to maximise uptime.

The role requires a hands-on engineer with experience in mechanical, electrical or hydraulic systems and a valid UK driving licence. NVQ Level 3 is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical, electrical or hydraulic engineering and fault-finding on material handling equipment.
• Full UK driving licence is a must; NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) preferred.
• IT literacy and ability to keep accurate service records.

Responsibilities

• Find, diagnose and rectify faults on Linde forklifts and material handling equipment at customer sites.
• Undertake preventative maintenance and routine servicing to maximise uptime.
• Keep accurate service records and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.

We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team in the Birmingham/Walsall area. The geographical patch to be covered is the B postcode area.

We Offer

We are looking for vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers who have experience working as a forklift technician, plant fitter, plant technician, vehicle technician or a similar type of role. Experience within plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles or industrial cleaners may make this role perfect for you!

Working with everything from small pallet trucks, through to IC trucks, VNA trucks and automated trucks, you will be required to find, diagnose, and rectify faults, and undertake preventative maintenance on Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at our customer sites.

Who are we looking for?

To be considered for this role, you will need experience in at least one of the following areas:

• Mechanical engineering
• Electrical engineering
• Hydraulics

Ideally you will have an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification, although this is not essential.

You will need to be IT literate and able to use latest technology to keep accurate records and place orders.

You must hold a full UK driving licence.
