Job Description:

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer with experience servicing and repairing balers, compactors, and other waste processing machinery in the South West UK. Our client has over 40 years of experience in maintenance, service, and repair of waste processing equipment across the UK.

The successful candidate will be provided with a company vehicle and will visit customer sites nationwide to perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs. This includes PPM, fault finding, and breakdown repairs. Excellent communication skills are essential as this is a customer-facing role.

While experience building or wiring electrical control panels is advantageous, a hands-on background in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic engineering is required, along with proven fabrication and welding skills.

A full clean driving license and at least 3 years of experience working on waste processing machinery, including balers and compactors, are mandatory.

You should be a self-motivated individual capable of working independently and as part of a team, with experience in fault diagnosis and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Knowledge of permit-to-work protocols and safety regulations is also necessary.
