We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a great team. If you possess good knowledge of the compressor industry, are self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team, this may be the role for you. The purpose of this role is to contribute to the profitability of the company's business by providing professional and efficient service of air compressors & ancillary equipment.

The role

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be ideally based in Lancashire/Greater Manchester/Cheshire to provide service & maintenance on customers' machines.

  • Promptly carry out servicing and maintenance on customer machines.
  • Effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment, both in the field and workshop.
  • Carry out PDI and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Install new equipment and pipework.
  • Identify required parts to effect repairs.
  • Complete job reports correctly and return them in a timely manner.
  • If required, plan and organise daily and weekly visit schedules.
  • Be aware of, and apply, health and safety regulations in the workshop and on site.
  • Apply good standards of engineering practice.
  • Maintain test instruments to ensure they remain in good condition.
  • Perform related duties as required.

What we expect of you

  • You will have current experience in repairing and servicing at least some of the following equipment: compressors, dryers, N2 systems, pumps.
  • Possess a good knowledge of the compressor industry.
  • Self-motivated and able to work individually and as part of a team.
