Job summary

Amour Recruitment are recruiting a Marine Field Service Engineer for a client based in Totton. The role involves diagnosing, repairing and installing engines, turbochargers and turbines on ships, with travel across the UK and regular site work.

You will join a busy engineering team, work independently when required and be flexible to cover varied hours including extended away-from-home periods. Salary £40,000-£45,000 plus overtime.

Amour Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for a Marine Field Service Engineer to join our client based in Totton.

In this role, based on the road, you'll support a busy engineering team, supporting the diagnosing, repair and installation or Engines, Turbochargers and Turbines on ships.

You'll need to be open-minded and flexible to work with this team, as the role can cover all hours of the day, often spending days at a time, sometimes even a week, out of the area on projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has worked locally in manufacturing or servicing, who is looking to expand their earning potential, with fantastic opportunities for travel.

Responsibilities:

• Serving and repair ofEngines, Turbochargers and Turbines.


• Ensuring best case scenario for client on all jobs.


• Minimise downtime for clients, ensuring works completed in adequate time.


• Supporting works within the company's workshop, to ensure smooth service delivery.


• Preparation and execution of reports, and work orders.

Requirements:

• Experience working onEngines, Turbochargers and Turbines (min 2 years).


• Experience working across modern marine technologies.


• Ability to work independently.


• Valid UK passport, as travel will regularly be required.


• Ability to work away from home for extended periods of time.


• Strong written and verbal communication.

Hours: 8:00-16:30 Monday to Friday

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 Basic, depending on experience. PLUS- high level of overtime availability, due to nature of business
