Our client is a specialist manufacturer of vacuum technology, providing solutions in heat treatment and equipment enhancements.
A bit about the role:
- My client is looking for a highly motivated individual, who is focused on giving technical assistance on my client’s products and their customer’s needs.
- The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support both on the mechanical and electrical aspects of the role.
- Within the role of the Field Service Engineer, you will be helping our client’s customers within the Vacuum, Pumps, and Heat Treatment industry.
- In the role of a Field Service Power Engineer, you will be required to have an all-rounded engineering knowledge, such as PLC systems (ideally Siemens or Wonderware).
- This role will include all phases of dealing with customers and maintaining and developing customer breakdowns.
- Our client is looking for a Field Service Engineer who has installation experience but also can identify opportunities for our clients to improve their systems and give quotations.
- Due to this being a field service-based position, a company car will be included.
What’s required:
- Full UK Driving License.
- This role requires someone who is comfortable with occasional work away from home, including overtime on weekends and public holidays.
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home depending on project needs.
- Ideally, someone with a background in Heat Treatment, Vacuum systems, or pumps would be an advantage but not crucial.
- Proficient in both mechanical and electrical aspects of engineering.
