Mechanical Fitter / Field Service Engineer

Our client, based near Sidmouth, is looking for a Mechanical Fitter / Field Service Engineer. A full driving licence is required.

This growing, privately owned company is expanding its team of field engineers. They provide servicing and maintenance services to companies with specialist plant and equipment in the water and drainage industry.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Contracted to 40 hours per week with overtime available.

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 starting, depending on experience. Paid overtime when required. 20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays. Company pension scheme after qualifying period.

Additional benefits: Company vehicle provided after a 6-month training period.

Ideal candidate: Experience working on commercial, agricultural, or plant machinery. This role may be suitable for someone who has completed a commercial, agricultural, or plant mechanical apprenticeship.

Coverage: The service engineers cover contracts from Bristol to Portsmouth and Lands’ End, providing servicing, maintenance, and repairs to water, drainage pumps, and equipment.
