Job summary

Cura Terrae is seeking hands-on Field Service Engineers to join a small UK-based team in Sheffield. You will install, calibrate and maintain flow and water quality equipment across the UK, often in confined spaces and outdoors.

The role requires practical problem-solving, willingness to travel, and strong teamwork. You’ll work with tablets and apps, complete digital reports, and be part of a company committed to environmental impact and career development.

Qualifications

  • Full, clean UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, and maintain flow monitoring equipment in wastewater networks.

  • Operate company vehicles safely and perform routine checks.
  • Complete paperwork and digital reports accurately and on time.
  • Represent Cura Terrae professionally on client sites and during fieldwork.
  • Ensure safe use of tools and equipment per company policies.

Job description

We're looking for hands-on, motivated Field Service Engineers to join our Team in Sheffield. You’ll work as part of a small team (2–3 people), delivering field-based services across the UK carrying‑out installation, calibration and maintenance of Flow and Water Quality equipment throughout the UK. The installation and maintenance work will require you to enter and work in confined spaces within the waste‑water networks.

This is a field‑based role involving working outdoors, in confined spaces, and traveling across the UK, often requiring overnight stays. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys practical, physical work in varied environments and thrives on solving problems in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and calibrate flow monitoring equipment within wastewater networks.
  • Enter and work in confined spaces, following health and safety protocols.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and complete regular checks.
  • Complete paperwork and digital reports accurately and on time.
  • Represent Cura Terrae professionally on client sites and during fieldwork.
  • Ensure the safe use of tools and equipment in accordance with company policies.
  • Work flexibly to adapt to changing work schedules and travel demands.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in field‑based or hands‑on engineering roles (e.g., utilities, telecoms, or environmental monitoring).
  • Experience with flow monitoring equipment is ideal, but full training will be provided.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and a practical mindset.
  • Able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Invested in your own development and keen to learn new technical skills.
  • Good communication and basic IT skills (comfortable using tablets, apps, or databases).
  • Willingness to work away from home and adapt to changing schedules.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
