Job description
Overview

Field Service Engineer – Home based in Oxford and surrounding region. Salary: £40k + car + exceptional benefits + call out allowance of up to £7,500 + expenses. Our client designs, manufactures and supports bespoke in vitro diagnostic solutions for global supply.

As a result of continued success and growth, they are seeking an experienced, self-motivated multi-skilled Field Service Engineer to deliver Installation, Service, Repair and Technical Support of automated laboratory equipment used in Clinical and Industrial markets in the Oxfordshire region.

Responsibilities
  • Install, service, repair and provide technical support for automated laboratory equipment.
  • Perform Installation, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Repair activities in customer environments (hospitals, laboratories and blue-chip FMCG clients).
  • Manage vehicle stock inventory efficiently and in accordance with guidelines; complete supporting documentation as required by engineering and service department procedures.
  • Attend training courses as scheduled to maintain knowledge and keep up-to-date with technology developments.
  • Assist with project work to meet deadlines and provide customer on-call support as part of the Service Team rota.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations (Health & Safety at Work) and SSOW on site.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Essential: live in or around the Oxford area; hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Educated to ONC level or above in a relevant Electrical / Electronic Engineering discipline.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a comparable service or maintenance environment; laboratory or medical equipment experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills at all levels.
