Job Description

Position: Field Service Engineer

Salary: Up to £43,000 (OTE £55,000) + 25 Days Holiday, Pension, Bonus

Core Working Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm (2 Hours either side maximum required for travel, paid door to door)

Coverage: UK & Ireland (However dedicated engineers strategically located)

Overtime: 1.5x outside of core hours daily (capped at 4 hours a day)

Bonus: £4,000 annually

Note: This role would suit a Field Service Engineer who has experience with maintaining, installing, and servicing machinery either mechanically or electrically. It would also suit an Engineer who isn’t currently a Field Service Engineer but is working with similar machinery.

Due to growth, I am recruiting exclusively for an international, industry-leading design and manufacturer. The company employs over 5000 people and has experienced year-on-year growth in the UK and Ireland.

They are looking to increase the Field Service Team. The company is dedicated to upskilling its staff members, and thus the successful Field Service Engineer will have the opportunity to get formal training at the company's site in Switzerland as well as the opportunity to earn up to £57,000 top rate plus overtime.

Responsibilities:

1. Identifies technical problems and liaises with the customer to report findings and recommendations, always striving for first-time fix.
2. Carries out service, repair, and installation of packaging machinery.
3. Provides accurate information to spare parts department for customer quotations to be generated.
4. Ensures that survey reports are returned to customers within seven days.
5. Follows up service interventions (either by phone or liaison visit) to ensure customer satisfaction.
6. Displays a commitment to customer service.

Qualifications:

1. Have experience repairing, servicing, and installing FMCG machinery (ideally packaging).
2. Time served, HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3 either mechanically or electrically.
3. Have previous experience in a similar role.
