Field Service Engineer - Regional Service (Material Handling Equipment Experience Desirable)

Monday - Friday (Days)

34,000 - 38,000 Depending on experience

Our Client is looking for a motivated Field Service Engineer to join a service team within the Material Handling Equipment industry. Reporting directly to the service manager you will be a key member in ensuring the companies clients are provided with the top service experience. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. You will be responsible for installations, service, repairs and breakdowns of equipment on customers sites across Northampton. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role on the road within in a secure and stable company.

Role Description:

  • Commission, maintain, and service a wide range of equipment and plant machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

  • Diagnose and repair faults in forklift trucks, carrying out routine maintenance and servicing as required.

  • Replace defective components and parts, ensuring all repairs meet safety and operational standards.

  • Order and track parts using PDA systems, maintaining accurate records of usage and stock levels.

  • Liaise with the Service Co-ordinator to receive and complete scheduled work efficiently.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, delivering professional and responsive service.

  • Follow established Service Team procedures and best practices in all tasks.

  • Comply with all site-specific and company-wide Health & Safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Or Similar - In Engineering
  • Mechanical Experience
  • UK Driving License
