Field Service Engineer: Electro Mechanical

Northampton

£35,000 - £45,000 (negotiable)

40 hours per week

Gi Pro are excited to join forces with a well-respected and industry leading equipment supplier for the food & beverage industry. As a result of continuous growth, they're seeking a Field Service Engineer to travel UK wide to install, maintain and repair electro-mechanical equipment as well as providing an on-going customer-centric support service. Full product and equipment training is provided but machinery you can expect to work with are bottling, canning, juice, press, pump and conveyor equipment amongst many others. The majority of project work is conducted in the south of the UK alongside adhoc service work nationwide.

Typical duties will involve:

  • Work as part of the service team to provide on-site installation and technical support service for customer equipment.
  • Respond to breakdown calls and complete planned maintenance.
  • Complete final tests on all work undertaken, taking action to rectify any faults identified.
  • Deal professionally, competently, and courteously with customers, suppliers, and colleagues in verbal and written communications.
  • Full understanding and compliance with industry and company health & safety policies.

Desirable experience:

  • Relevant engineering qualification or qualified by experience
  • Multi-skilled, ideally electrically-biased with sound mechanical fundamentals.
  • Previous experience within a field service role with electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Customer centric approach to build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers alike.
