Overview

Field Service Engineer – Castleford. Up to £50,000.

Are you a skilled Electrical Mechanical Engineer? Do you have experience working as a field service engineer? Have you serviced and maintained diesel sets? Kingston Barnes is recruiting for an Electrical Mechanical Field Service Engineer for our client in the Castleford area.

The Role: This position involves a combination of workshop-based and field-based servicing and maintenance. You will be working with diesel sets and pumps/rotating equipment. The working hours in the workshop are Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30, Friday: 08:00 - 13:30. When you are on the road, flexibility is required. This role is split between workshop-based and field service-based.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dismantling, rebuilding, and refurbishing pumps and diesel sets in the workshop
  • Delivering maintenance and servicing on customer sites
  • Ensuring all inspection and assembly documentation is complete
  • Following procedures, policies, and work instructions
  • Electrical inspection of pumps
  • Mechanical measurement of components and critical dimensions
  • Pressure testing pump sets
  • Assisting with other departments as and when required
About you
  • Skilled Electrical / Mechanical Engineer
  • Experience with diesel pump sets or rotating equipment
  • Mechanical or Electrical Apprenticeship, or time served
  • Experience working in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Fault-finding skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Electric motor and control equipment experience
Desirable qualifications/training
  • CSCS Card
  • Confined space training
  • Lifting & Slinging
  • Water Hygiene qualified
