Field Service Engineer (Commercial Laundry: Washers, Dryers, Ironers)

Kent

Circa A GBP 36,000 Basic DOE + Overtime (1.5x Monday to Saturday, 2x Sunday, OTE Approx. A GBP 4,000 to A GBP 6,000 Extra) + Call Out (1/4 Weekends) + Monthly Bonus Scheme + 28 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays + Company Pension + Private Medical + Company Vehicle + Mobile Phone + Tablet

Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week

Due to continued sales growth, a Field Service Engineer is required to join the team of a market-leading manufacturer and service provider of commercial and industrial laundry equipment. This is a great opportunity to join a reputable company that values and celebrates its team while offering job security.

The successful field service engineer will possess demonstrable electromechanical skills. Ideally, you will be commercially gas qualified; however, the company is willing to provide training for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will attend reactive breakdowns and perform routine maintenance on commercial laundry equipment at customer sites, aiming for a First Time Fix rate of over 85%. Experience and training may also allow work on industrial equipment.

You will work remotely most of the time and will be on call-out standby one in four weekends.

The Field Service Engineer Role

• Carrying out electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance on a full range of laundry equipment
• Working within a 1 to 1.5-hour radius from your home, averaging 3 to 4 jobs per day
• Servicing commercial laundry equipment in care homes, hotels, charities, gyms, etc.

The Field Service Engineer Candidate

• An electromechanical background
• Ability to work efficiently to rectify breakdowns and accurately follow PPM schedules
• Electrical competence, including dead testing and safe isolation procedures
