A leading company in the Compact Plant industry is seeking a qualified electromechanical engineer to join their expanding engineering team in Bedfordshire. About the Client:
Interaction Technical has partnered with a rapidly expanding, innovative organization based in Bedfordshire to support the growth of their engineering team. Due to continuous growth, we are seeking a skilled electromechanical engineer interested in learning, developing, and progressing within the Compact Plant industry.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend breakdowns, service, and PPMs on various industrial-scale compactor systems within the waste management industry
  • Use manual hand tools (spanners, screwdrivers), electrical hand tools (powered drills, grinders), lifting equipment (slings, hoists), and hot working tools (blowtorch, heat guns)
  • Perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical fault finding alongside elements of hydraulic systems
  • Manage time effectively to ensure work is carried out to a high standard in a timely manner
  • Update job reports and order parts when necessary
  • Ensure health & safety procedures are followed
  • Requirements:

  • Experience in electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical fault finding, repair, and service
  • Previous experience with MIG/TIG welding is advantageous but not essential
  • Good level of electrical or mechanical knowledge; similar roles could include plant engineer, maintenance engineer, hydraulic engineer, pneumatic engineer, mechanical fitter, forklift engineer
  • Experience using electrical and mechanical tools
  • Previous experience as a mechanical, electrical, or field-based engineer, with knowledge of hydraulic systems/hoses, mechanical fault finding & repair, and basic electrical work
  • Full UK driver's license
