Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Leeds to service biofuel and gas CHP power generation systems. The role includes planned maintenance and fault diagnosis with a salary range of £45-£55k. Candidates should have relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and ideally a Gas Safe qualification. Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar field-based role required.
  • OEM training with MAN, Siemens, CAT or Perkins is ideal.
  • A full UK driving licence is necessary.

  • Conduct planned maintenance, fault finding, and breakdowns.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues on engines and alternators.

What will you be doing?
  • You will service and repair biofuel and gas CHP power generation systems.
  • Carry out planned maintenance, fault finding, and breakdowns.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues on engines and alternators.
  • Replace components such as pumps, heat exchangers, and alternators.
  • Complete digital service reports via tablet.
Where will you be doing it?

Our client was founded over 20 years ago and specialise in the design, manufacture and operation of CHP units.

What you'll need
  • A recognised apprenticeship in motor vehicle or mechanical maintenance, or 3+ years\' experience in a similar field-based role.
  • Experience servicing large engines; OEM training with MAN, Siemens, CAT or Perkins is ideal.
  • A valid Gas Safe qualification (COCN1, CGFE1 & ICPN1) is desirable.
  • Proficient with computers for emails, reporting, and system monitoring.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Able to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate.
