A global manufacturer in Huddersfield is hiring a Field Service Engineer to join their service team. This permanent role offers an opportunity to work with engineers across client sites, delivering on-site servicing, testing, and calibration in a fast-growing company with UK and international growth.

The role requires an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent, electrical fault-finding experience, and willingness to travel. Benefits include overtime and a strong training program.

Qualifications

• Electrical fault-finding experience in an engineering/manufacturing setting.
• Experience with airflow testing, filter integrity testing, or calibration.
• Willingness to travel and stay away when required.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site servicing, revalidation, and testing of engineered systems.
• Perform electrical fault-finding and basic mechanical diagnostics.
• Conduct airflow testing using calibrated equipment and perform related tests.
• Perform filter integrity testing and particle testing as required.
• Calibrate pressure and velocity instruments and document results.
• Complete service reports and technical documentation accurately.
• Maintain test equipment and company van to required standards.
• Represent the business professionally on customer sites and feedback opportunities.

Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer

• Carrying out on site servicing, revalidation, and testing of engineered systems
• Electrical fault finding and basic mechanical diagnostics
• Airflow testing using calibrated equipment
• Filter integrity testing and particle testing
• Calibration of pressure and velocity instruments
• Completing service reports and technical documentation
• Maintaining test equipment and company van to required standards
• Representing the business professionally on customer sites
• Identifying and feeding back service, spares, or upgrade opportunities

Requirements of the Field Service Engineer

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualifications
• Experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Electrical fault-finding experience
• Experience with airflow testing, filter integrity testing, or calibration
• Comfortable with travel and staying away when required
• Full UK driving licence
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong communication and customer facing skills
