Job description

Overview

Field Service Engineer required in the BA/SN/SP region, covering the South of the UK.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, annual servicing, routine maintenance, and repairs on automated storage systems.
• Diagnose and resolve technical faults independently.
• Support system upgrades, including software updates.
• Assist with the commissioning and installation of new systems at client sites.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
• Provide technical support and product training to clients.
• Complete and submit accurate service reports and documentation promptly.
• Manage travel and schedule efficiently.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of automated storage products and systems.
• Represent our client professionally with a friendly and presentable manner.
• Occasional national and international travel (for training purposes).

Requirements

• Based in and around the BA/SN/SP postcode regions with a UK driving license with minimal points.
• Experience in mechanical, electrical and general engineering, high attention to detail, as well as a background in fault-finding and technical problem-solving skills.
• Engineering qualifications would be desirable, although not essential.
• Comfortable working independently, utilising interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first attitude to provide an excellent service to customers.

• 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with access to overtime and occasional pre-scheduled weekend work.
