Job summary

Essentia Solutions are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join our UK-wide service and maintenance team. You will service and repair a range of electrical catering equipment and provide on-site technical support to customers.

You must be able to work weekends on a rota (currently 1 in 3) and have strong fault-finding and customer service skills. Starting salary £36K rising to £40K after training, with door-to-door pay based on a 42.5-hour week and paid overtime.

Qualifications

• Previous Field Service Engineer experience preferred in appliance engineering.
• Electrical maintenance experience required.
• Good fault-finding skills essential.
• Flexible with weekend work and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Reactive maintenance across a broad range of electrical catering equipment.

Essentia Solutions are currently recruiting for one of the UK’s premier Commercial Catering Service and Maintenance Business. With full UK coverage, this award winning business specialises in the service and maintenance of specialist cooking equipment from a wide range of manufacturers.

As the business continues to grow, they are looking for additional Field Service Engineers to join their team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will have the responsibility of the following:

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Reactive maintenance across a broad range of electrical catering equipment
• Provide on-site technical support to customers
• Be available for weekend on call when required, currently 1 in 3 weekends
• Demonstrate an excellent level of customer service and always give excellent representation of the business

Whilst this role does not require any direct catering maintenance experience, we are looking for the following skills and abilities to be successful:

Experience Required

• Previous Field Service Engineer experience preferably in appliance engineering
• Electrical maintenance experience
• A good level of fault‑finding skills
• Flexibility and availability for weekend work & overtime
• Ability to learn and develop new skills
• Excellent customer service skills

The package

• Starting salary £36K rising to £40K on completion of successful training period
• Paid door‑to‑door based on a 42.5‑hour working week
• Overtime paid at Time ½ after 8.5 hours per day, Saturday Time ½ with double time Sunday
• On‑call allowance paid
• 22 days holiday
• Company incentives plus £5K bonus paid over 12 months
