Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering in a field service context.
• Gas Safe qualification preferred but not essential.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines.
• comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Full UK driving licence (clean).

Responsibilities

• Attend service calls to diagnose, repair and report on faults with commercial laundry and catering equipment.
• Identify and report on equipment and installation conditions, making recommendations where appropriate.
• Carry out commissioning checks on installed equipment.
• Perform basic installations of laundry machines, chemical dosing and ozone systems.
• Recondition and test ex-rental equipment for redeployment.
• Conduct routine maintenance visits as required.
• Maintain van stock and update Salesforce inventory system.

Overview

First Military Recruitment are searching for a Field Service Engineer to join our client, a leading provider of commercial laundry and catering equipment solutions. With over 50 years of industry experience, the company offers a full-service package, including equipment supply, installation, maintenance, and repair across a wide range of sectors from hospitality and healthcare to sports and private landlords.

This is a field-based role covering London and the South East. You'll be joining a professional and expanding service team, acting as a key ambassador by delivering a high standard of service and support to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Attend service calls to diagnose, repair, and report on faults with commercial laundry and catering equipment
