Qualifications

Job description

Title: Senior Field Service Engineer

Location: London

Salary: £39,000 - OTE - £50k

Benefits:

  1. Starting Salary £38,760 rising to £40,000 (after satisfactory probation period and training accreditation)
  2. Performance Related annual salary increases.
  3. Mon- Fri 40hrs per week (minus 1/2 hr lunch unpaid per day)
  4. Overtime is available but not guaranteed. (OTE £50K)

The Client:

Our client is a leading hire company providing full UK coverage for industrial equipment. With plans to expand the business further, this has presented an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Field Service Engineer covering the South West to join their team.

The role of Senior Field Service Engineer:

  1. Be a custodian of the brand at all times and demonstrate company values.
  2. Maintain a high standard of service and repair on all cleaning equipment ensuring the delivery of a world-class service experience.
  3. Regularly communicate with the Regional Service Manager.
  4. Maintain, accurately diagnose, and repair the full range of Industrial Cleaning Equipment including Municipal.
  5. Complete documentation of work orders promptly on Oneview FS365, ensuring accurate records are created.
  6. Control van stocks in accordance with the customer base - ensuring 5% difference adhered to during all stock takes.
  7. Effectively communicate daily with regional scheduler to assist operations.
  8. Identify and communicate sales leads to relevant sales person.
  9. Promote healthy relationships with customers and the One Professional Team.
  10. Maintain tools and equipment to a satisfactory and safe condition.
  11. Participate in on-job coaching with Regional Manager ensuring personal development plan is relevant.
  12. Elevated duties in absence of Regional Manager if required.
  13. Attend reactive weekend on-call work orders (few and far between) where required.

Your qualifications, experience and characteristics are:

  1. 3 GCSEs at Grade 4, or equivalent, including English and Maths.
  2. Formal mechanical/electrical qualifications.
  3. Proven experience in the service and/or cleaning industry or willing to fast track through training.
  4. Fantastic communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
  5. Excellent organisational skills.
  6. Able to improvise and be conversant with customers.
  7. Experience with electronics, batteries, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and diesel engines.
  8. Experience with Municipal Cleaning Equipment / Forklift trucks / HGV / Plant Hire / Horticultural / Agricultural Machinery / Industrial Cleaning Equipment.
  9. Full UK driving licence essential.
  10. Willingness to travel and stay overnight if required.
  11. Some training will take place in Europe so ideally a passport is required.
