Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer covering the South East for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis.

Summary of the Role

Salary: up to GBP36k plus car, etc.
Location: South East England with travel into Central London
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday, with third shifts
Benefits: Pension Scheme, Life Assurance, Private Medical Insurance, Cycle to work scheme, Optical Eye care reimbursement.

Note: Our client prefers candidates based in the Reading area who are willing to travel into central London at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer

  • Install, maintain, and repair company equipment on client sites.
  • Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to mechanical and electrical systems, including computer control systems.
  • Support administrative requirements.
  • Build good working relationships with customers, other engineers, and members of the Service Department.

Requirements for the Successful Candidate

  • Mechanical and Electrical Engineering experience, including fault finding at the mechanical component level.
  • Understanding of computer systems and electronic controls.
  • A qualification in mechanical and electrical engineering is preferred.
  • Print or print finishing background is an advantage.
  • Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Paper handling skills are an advantage.
  • A full, clean UK driver's license.
